Somebody said the OB won't be in the stadium until December, which I guess could coincide with the visit of the goons. Coincidence?

It's safe to have football games played at the stadium with no police presence so anything could happen.
It's not safe to stand up and watch a game of football.

Funny that ornchurch that a bit of tarpaulin doesn't actually make a gap go away.
Only been saying that for 2 years.

Andy - Paying that extra money won't get you any closer as the most expensive parts of the ground are also some of the furthest away.

Harold - it might be 60 but the upper tier is horrendous behind the goals and on the West Side. It is not so much the view as the disconnecting gap between the tiers and the addition of the claret and blue trampolines hasn't done an awful lot to help it.

Andy is spot on with his posts but I would add that the Safety Licence should be revoked until the stewards are of a high enough standard to do a competent job, which to date it is obvious that they are not.
They are paying pocket money to kids who are capable of no more than showing people to their seat and from I have seen are not even really interested in doing that. They want to be paid for doing fuck all.
I know the hiring of the hit squad caused some of the in-fighting on Saturday but how much worse could it have been if it had just been the juvenile delinquents we have had until then?

to be honest Penners, if things don't improve from my 'personal matchday experience' by the end of the season then instead of moaning I will just fuck off completely. I just hope that somewhere along the line the club will realise that fans matter and listen to people.
I don't personally care if whole blocks of people want to stand up - I spent the first 20 years of my supporting life at UP standing up.
I just don't like to see the areas of people doing it to the detriment of other fans, who are seen as somehow not as much of a supporter because they want to sit down.

there's so many things wrong with the new West Ham that have already been said a million times.
It is early days and there are a load of areas that need sorting out for sure.
In terms of safety, that is a no brainer and needs dealing with immediately, whatever the cost and without those involved throwing the blame around for lack of radio coverage, or no control over stewarding etc. Forget all that shit and make sure people are safe - make sure fans can't get to each other and make sure there are coppers in and around the ground at all times.
Nobody cares whose fault it is the radios don't work, just fucking sort it out.
In terms of the standing issue, to my mind the club have got a choice; either listen to the fans and start to make changes to the allocation of seats right now, acknowledge that people have stood up for years and years at Upton Park and at grounds all over the country - don't pretend it doesn't happen and hasn't ever happened and be affronted all of a sudden and react with the naught boy letters.
The choice the club has to make is simple; either make sure that those people who do want to stand up are all located together, or throw everyone out who persistently stands and replace them with those off this so-called massive waiting list, with the caveat that if they stand up or cause problems they will lose their season ticket.
Given that the premier league rule state that people are supposed to sit in areas where there are seats (everywhere facing the pitch), then technically all of those who stand are in breach of something.
At the moment what we are getting is areas where people think they have the right to stand up in front of a load of people who don't want to stand up and causing problems. Whether they like it or not, they don't have the right to be cunts and stop people from seeing the match. Where's the 'West Ham' in that? It's no more their fault that they are sitting in an area where people don't want to stand than it is for those that want to sit down. Just don't be an arsehole about it.
The way it's going the issue of standing, causing crowd problems, removals, scuffles, upset families etc etc etc will rise up at every home game.
If the club don't look at moving people immediately, for whatever reason, we all have the choice of a) carrying on causing problems and generally not giving a fuck about other supporters b) not bother turning up anymore (possibly forced if ejected) or c) put up with the status quo for the season and then do all you can to move seats at the end of the season.
I have a great view from my seat. The only thing is it's about 600 feet further back from the pitch from where I was at Upton Park, so I can see everything. Apart from that is, the numbers on players shirts. Neither can I hear the players shouting at each other, or the referees whistle and I fucking hate where I am with a vengeance.
I upgraded my seat a band and was told this seat would give me a comparable view, which was a lie as it doesn't. I have gone from being 14 rows from the pitch to 60 rows from the pitch. My fault I suppose as I couldn't afford shell out an additional £500+ on top of what I was already paying.
At the moment I am not happy with pretty much every aspect of the new West Ham, without even thinking about what is happening on the pitch.
But it is early days and either we are all still here at the end of the season, with the same objective, of supporting our team, and being mildly respectful of everyone else who is there for the same reason, including all the kids who are the next generation and who this stadium and the new West Ham is really for, or we are not.
As people have said, we don't have any control over what happens, had no say in moving to Stratford and all of the changes have been done to us whether we like it or not.
If the club really do value our support and will listen and really do care about whether anyone coming to the ground has any links or history to the club or is just out for a day out is yet to be seen. My guess is the latter if I'm honest.

Doesn't exist anymore, so I'm with ATH.
The mask hadn't just slipped with these Spivs, it's been removed.
"442 Green Street." "World class grade 4 UEFA rated stadium. One of the best in Europe." "We are looking to sign a top class striker."
I hate all three of them.

They're naive or deliberate enough to think their patronising marketing and lies to fans work and they are most certainly naive or deliberate enough to completely disregard their duty of care to West Ham fans when it comes to the stadium OtB.
They also tried to cleanse the Brum support so have form.
I'd give up if I were you, it's not funny anymore.
